    This is beyond my comprehension. For four fucking years we've listened to these cretinous buffoons in government bang on about taking control of our borders. And the first time there is actually a good reason to do it, they utterly fail to do so.

    There’s no travel ban — UK stopped short of it despite “genuine fears” over new strain. Passengers are able to easily travel between UK and S Africa via transit airports (And yet still, for passengers arriving to UK: no tests, no screening, no measures - 1 year on)

    What a disgraceful failure. Like so much this government does the Nightingale hospitals were just an expensive PR stunt. Just when we need them most this January there are no staff to operate them because of the NHS staffing crisis the Tories created over the last decade.
