In the last year, some stuff we did: hosted 5 dinners for POC abolitionists & 4 public TJ workshops, printed & distributed over 500 zines & thousands of stickers, gave out about 50 homemade tiger balms, held space for several accountability processes. Pls support if you can! 💖

The fact that there are no evacuation plans for prisons, that once you’re inside there is no option to leave in an emergency- a virus, a hurricane, a fire- is so fucking terrifyingly violent.

More training for police ultimately results in them receiving more resources, enables them to operate more effectively, and reinforces the idea that they are there to keep up us safe. This kind of reform only strengthens policing.

Each time the police face criticisms for their actions, there are calls for them to receive more and better training, whether for correct legal procedures, the appropriate use of force, or racial sensitivity. Does these calls for more training bring us any closer abolition?
