From what I read it doesn't sound like the plaintiff presented a very good case. It is likely somewhat difficult if only the company actually knows what is in the pills, but it sounds like plaintiff didn't make very convincing arguments or used the scientific evidence available

Yeah, we as a profession generally are pretty bad at judging good or bad science. But we ROCK at judging persuasive arguments, which is how you end up with bad science being case law. Its just so convincing.
