    Whenever I scold my cat, I use the royal “we” so she doesn’t feel so ashamed. “We don’t eat that. We don’t chew on electrical cords,” I say. It’s as if I, too, have a problem with eating wires or plastic I found on the floor and she and I are working on that problem together.

    The next bullshit thing TERFs are doing - attempting to deny transition specifically to autistic kids. My son has lived with a trans man and a trans woman (roommates of ours) growing up, has a steady stream of queer theory, and still fixates on speculative zoology.

    Setting aside the deeply insulting characterization of autistic kids... autistic kids are introduced to all SORTS of ideologies already. Capitalism, patriarchy/paternalism, puritanism... Somehow they manage to fixate on trains and dinosaurs regardless. They'll be fine.
