His personal agenda clearly outweighs any need for keeping our communities drug free and safe.

He prosecutes drug crime and the problem obviously predates him.https://twitter.com/chesaboudin/status/1279449608033316865?s=20 …

Chesa Boudin 博徹思Verified account @chesaboudinReplying to @chezpim @MattHaneySFFact: approximately 20% of my general felony team's caseload are drug sales. We do prosecute these cases, everyday, for better or worse. As we've learned from the war on drugs after all these decades of failure: this is not a problem we can police or prosecute our way out of.2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -
This is an absolutely insane argument for why our city is destroyed with rampant drug sales and drug abuse. He has the power to change it and make our city safer for tax paying residents and he does nothing.

Those statements imply that the drug problem so rampant on our streets is chesas fault, when it has existed in the tenderloin, in our city, and in our urban areas since it was criminalized by reagan in the 70s to facilitate racism. Prohibition causes the lawlessness and addiction

Hahaha your argument literally just collapsed on itself. “It’s been here since the 70’s but prohibition causes addiction”

The massive problem on our streets has been here since prohibition vastly exacerbated it.

Those benefits being less addiction and less homeless people both under state care and on our streets than there would be without Chesas intervention? Glad to help.

You are absolutely insane if you think there are less homeless and less addiction.

Than there would have been otherwise without him sure! Our system of prohibition and mass incarceration does incentivize and expose people to addiction.

He is an elected official. You want to sit here and talk about this being someone else’s fault, fine. The only thing people in SF care about is to have a SAFE city. Walk through the tenderloin or SOMA or FiDi and tell me it’s safe. Tell me drugs aren’t the problem. You can’t.
