I mean, black superhero? Great. Strong female characters? Fantastic. But the depiction of Wakandans as having failed to get past *literally the most primitive form of government in existence*? Seems a pretty offensive stereotype to me.

This is not to say that I'm not in favour of improved gun control; like most people outside of the USA, I'm routinely shocked by the US situation. Rather, it's worth remembering that public health efforts which yield individually small effects can save many lives in aggregate.

Probably the most important thing to keep in mind when reading the FreeBSD Code of Conduct is that we weren't trying to change any rules. Rather, we were trying to elaborate on the rule under which the FreeBSD project has operated for years: Don't Be An Asshole.

I was also on the committee which wrote the FreeBSD Code of Conduct. I disagreed with @freebsdfrau about a lot of things and we had many lengthy arguments about politics and the meanings of words. Just paid over $1000 for basic (aka. mandatory) insurance on the car I drive less than 3000 km/year. That's after my 43% "been driving for 20 years and never been in an accident" discount. I really really want @icbc to bring in per-km insurance.
