... This is Ball Gate, above South Brent, on Dartmoor. It's just beyond the two hills that were the most important inspiration for the talking hill/Spirit of the Moor in Villager (amazon.co.uk/Villager-Tom-C). There is a sense it's where the "real" moor begins.
