    Important case for girls in football. “It is undisputed that girls are permitted to play football and do in fact play, albeit in extremely limited numbers.” “Permitted” isn’t the same as feeling welcome and safe in football environments dominated by boys.

    Connecticut lawmakers passed the CROWN Act, which bans discrimination against hairstyles or textures associated with race — like braids and locs. Only 7 states ban such discrimination. A study shows Black women are 1.5x more likely to be sent home from work due to their hair.
