In observance of Juneteenth on Monday, June 19, non-emergency County offices will be closed. Juneteenth is a Federal Holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. Essential services including Sheriff, Fire, OEM, and Public Works will maintain operations.

County Board of Supervisors Recap for June 16, 2023 Resolutions recognizing June 19, 2023, as Juneteenth and June 2023 as LGBTQ+ Pride The Board Approved the Recommended Budget for Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-24.
On July 5, the Planning and Development department will implement a new online permitting system through the Accela Citizen’s Access Portal. All submissions must be made through here. The department will no longer accept hard copy applications. Register: bit.ly/OnlinePermit

Grand opening! Santa Barbara County Fire Station 27 and Sheriff Substation opened today in the New Cuyama area and Highway 166 corridor. The joint station will provide critical fire and law enforcement services to the New Cuyama and surrounding area.
