Next week I’m taking a train from SF to Chicago. It takes 2 days and there’s no wifi and I am SO excited.

If there are 3 of you traveling together you're probably safe from the forced eating with Other Random Strangers thing in the dining car, unless you WANT to. (Booths seat 4.) Lots of people see this as a bonus feature but it's the WORST part for me! :-)

Also, not critical but maybe bring a portable air freshener thingy? Nice to have just in case. (Worst was the time train had to hold near a paper factory. SO STINKY!) Def bring own snacks. Maybe clip on fan or a light blanket if you sleep hot/cold? Limited temp control.
