Cosmos SDK’s Tweets

We just published v5.0.0-rc0 with SDK 0.46. A second RC will follow (most likely) next week. We will tag it once the team releases 0.46.1 and we complete some remaining QA testing. You can follow the progress on this milestone.

Hi, as part of cosmos-db, would drop support for boltdb and badgerdb. This is a check to make sure that no one is using those databases, otherwise we should make migration tools that help users move to goleveldb or pebbledb.

Cool, this release adds the 'x/group' module that will make Governance and DAOs a lot more interesting in the future in the ecosystem. Also other goodies coming such as 'tipping'. 👀⚛️🚀

Authz permission to an app to spend (subscriptions_cost) every (subscription_time_period) for (subscription_period) + app runs to collect fees. User signs once and pays for subscription. Wallet gated content. Who wants to build this?

Do you want to build a Cosmos SDK blockchain? The Starport CLI developer tool scaffolds a Cosmos SDK blockchain in a single command and autogenerates code so you can focus on application logic 💡 There is no reason to use Cosmos SDK without Starport

This is actually kind of wild. A stateless subset of geth compiled into MIPS, running in the EVM: github.com/ethereum-optim If we can compile a stateless subset of Cosmos SDK into MIPS, then this may make it feasible to run a Cosmos SDK rollup directly on Ethereum or an EVM chain

The awesome fact that chains use the same SDK is it allows the creation of tools in a very straightforward way, the same API calls can query several L1 sovereign blockchains. This makes a lot easier to develop tools to track things across the . That’s powerful ⚛️👨🏼‍💻

Use Starport to create a chain & add functionality to it (generate code). Use Starport to run a node in development w/ auto code reloading. To run your chain in production, compile the binary & then use the binary to start the node: 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘤 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥
