a word is a simple idea. some words have multiple ideas too, like "un-happy". you've got the emotion idea and then the negation idea. then you put words together, but the ideas conveyed don't increase linearly. because words reference each other in a weird round-about way
the way our brain stores these also reflect this. a passage from a text isn't stored word for word. we basically make a little micro-simulation of the words in action. when you read "a person is writing a letter" the same brain regions light up as when you're actually writing
and then you go on to add the ideas of the rest of the passage to that one. that kinda makes sense, but how tf are we understanding the meaning of elaborately written philosophical arguments?
this shit is absolutely bonkers. everything is language and at the same fucking time nothing is language. language is a tool slapped on top of something else that is exponentially more unfathomable
look into literally anything with enough sincerity and i promise you it will be equally as unfathomable u don't need psychedelics to see god, all you need is some textbooks or scientific papers and some authentic thinking.
it will be unmistakable when you brush up against that Complexity of All Things, because you wont be able to call it anything. god is literally that which you are unable to understand and never will understand. and it is so humbling. and it is so beautiful. and you are it.
