consider the meaning of nature. it is defined in terms of the antithesis of man. something that exists outside of us, untouched pure, holy. nature is a fallacy. a conservative ideal. the bird outside your window does not exist independently of you. neither does the octopus.

I consider the general term "natural" to apply to normal things in the universe, while "artificial" describes things make to "fight against" those normal things. Humans are natural, but many of our social norms and behaviors artificially go against our own interests and needs.

A variation on the latter, I think. I like Metaphysical Solipsism – it’s better that everything radiates from “me”. Actually, I think I prefer the idea that I am a “causal essence” in a holographic projection and nature is the data point “pixel” background.
