most curiosities are interlinked; following them eventually lead to interdisciplinary fields it’s not an explicit process though i stumbles into cognitive science by way of philosophy then neuroscience and then psychology similarly with cybernetics

Interdisciplinarity lacks formal learning structure, I don't think we can teach it. I think it's more something the student learns than is taught like an amalgamation of interests. Btw it's nice to see you pop in here every now and then Em.

i think the lack of formal learning structure is exactly why it should be introduced. but perhaps 'facilitated exploration' is a better term than 'teaching'. And thanks Terrance, I've been in a weird intellectual bubble for a while. Couldn't find any words.

my intuition is yes. imagine school subjects like "biology/computer science", exploring what innovations they have spurred in each other, as well as what sense we can find in reality with their coupling
