Oh cool! Is this when looking at fairly bright light through closed eyes? When meditating or resting w/eyes closed, I sometimes get blue blobs that color... sort of move in vaguely concentric rings from edge towards the center of my visual field, like a screensaver.

yep! either outside or facing a sunny window. not looking directly at the sun or a lamp though. that could be cool to try, might need some white in there and some sun spot squiggles. and yep, spent a lot of time looking. definitely a purple that moves around for me
