What's the objective measure for my subjective experience? What's the equivalent "Nugget Scale" for trauma?https://twitter.com/KuroiKoreiKin/status/1217459659461627906?s=19 …

I doubt there is one. But I've been taught that things don't exist unless I can quantify and compare them. I know it's silly but I'll still be looking for a trauma nugget scale so I can validate my messiness and excuse my inability to live up to my own expectations

If I say this apple is a three to me, is it a three to you or a seven because you grew up on sour apples? Trauma numbers. Immeasurable and incomparable. Can we sit together in grief? Can we allow each other and ourselves to grieve?

Oh my God I have such instinctive revulsion to the idea of comparing traumas, where did that come from?

Might need multiple axes for this. How about a Cartesian graph of trauma intensity and quality

why do i actually want this so i can somehow justify how handicapped i am - 1 more reply

All of our trauma is crippling when we lend it control of our experience

thought my degree of control was significant but i fooled myself so i could pretend all was jolly.
