v cool. but i think the general media narrative of limiting collapse scenarios to climate change & associated temp increases is at best uncreative.

I agree. Jem Bendell's paper is a means to an ends move in some ways and needs to be extreme to counter the downplay by the media. The shame is that the media will use whatever they can to limit the collapse meme because they are backed by big biz with vested interests.
