Do you think that's because normal social relations don't provide the kind of regular conversations in which we can work out the kinds of the things that we do in therapy? Or perhaps wisdom is so sparsely distributed that we have to pay for access to it?
oooooh the former seems very legit. i have an awesome group of friends that are very open about this stuff, which is great and seemingly rare. but i wonder why i still dont find this a suitable substitute for all the things i get out of my psych appointments. ill think on this
Possible qs: are you going . . . for the good questions? for the good answers? for the unique setting? for the "unbiased" analysis? because it seems to be working? I wonder if there are lots of tiny differences in the social contract that make for huge differences in outcomes
