Kid in class: wow you are literally just sitting on the floor you're a kid not a teacher Me: why do teachers have to be boring? Actually the reason I seem weird to you guys is because I see boring adults and I'm trying to understand how they get that way and how to avoid it
Me: I'm discovering that almost all adults are just suuuper stressed out. I think that's the reason Other kid: are you stressed? Me: oh totally. More than most even. But at least I know it Kid: do you have a therapist? Me: yep. I think everyone should have one Her: hmmmm
Do you think that's because normal social relations don't provide the kind of regular conversations in which we can work out the kinds of the things that we do in therapy? Or perhaps wisdom is so sparsely distributed that we have to pay for access to it?
oooooh the former seems very legit. i have an awesome group of friends that are very open about this stuff, which is great and seemingly rare. but i wonder why i still dont find this a suitable substitute for all the things i get out of my psych appointments. ill think on this
