You just have to sort of snap out of it: your parents were confused and covered their ignorance by lying. Teachers and media continue the pattern. Every day since Hiroshima in 1945 the headline should have stayed "world held hostage by dangerous lunatics with nuclear bombs."
Mhm. Did a class meditation the other day about the guy who dropped the bomb on Hiroshima. He became a pilot because as a boy he got to accompany someone who dropped candy out of a plane with little parachutes as part of a marketing stunt. I cried. Needs to permeate the psyche.
