Classrooms (spaces where kids spend most of their time) are so often not places of play. Totally could be tho. My daughter is 5 and was told by her teacher yesterday that they would have no fun today, just work. This is child abuse and equates learning with unenjoyabke work

I'm knowingly sending my kid to a highly constrained broken abuse/neglect centre on a daily basis. Most pedagogy and curriculum is so outdated and the whole person is silenced. Looking at moving the kids to a different school.

Yeh I don't think we're playing anywhere near as much as we could be or exploring anywhere near the full potential of play for all sorts of benefits and outcomes.
