Started doing mindfulness with my 6 year old this week. I know it’s not a cure, but I don’t want my kids to learn the ‘Disney’ philosophy of ‘if that’s how you feel in your heart’. I want him to be aware of compulsion, instead of a victim of it.

That's awesome to hear. I think we need to be more communicate & encouraging with kids regarding things that will give them mental fortitude in the future. To encourage control over their lives instead of being reactive. I imagine it's a great bonding exercise for y'all too
