Totally. Tried to set this out so that you could just substitute one and brainstorm about it I'm fascinated by this idea but find it confusing. Lemme try wrap my head around it
so many people mentioning urbit but its so confusing for me so imo it aint what i want xD
I'm waiting for @juntofoundation. A non-extractive, human-centric, data sovereign platform that inspires authenticity and whatever you make it :)
Twitter has led me to 50 close relationships, 30 phone calls, 5 meetups, a ski trip, a book club, and a database of talented people eager to collaborate on something
I certainly enjoy the people I interact with on here, but I think the platform itself is restrictive & doesn't really fulfill any of the above to my satisfaction
Random thoughts: it needs to be focused on generating trust between people. What things generate trust: - Shared values - Acts of kindness - Knowing who else trusts that person - Just spending time together
mechanics that might incentivise these: -> some way of aptly visualizing/expressing values as part of a users profile -> ways of signaling needs, and ways for others to assist -> way of seeing level of engagement w/ people -> internet points for meaningful time spent collab-ing
