Imo, we should strive for kids to come out of school feeling like they A) know a good amount about the universe & world we find ourselves in (workings, problems, wonders, beauties) B) understand themselves deeply. Traumas, personality etc. Where they excel, ongoing troubles
C) know their particular passions/what resonates with them (specific or not) D) are empowered, supported, and encouraged to make progress on issues identified/further skill building in areas of interest.
I think C is very, very underrated and I think the way to achieve a lot of these isn't to do more but to generally get out of their way.

Don't think we can trust parents to succeed at this if they're working full time & their kids are at school full time currently not learning most of these :P
Agree 100%! Thanks for the thought starters. Working on parts of B and most of C in higher education. Curious to see how we can adapt this to high school and other contexts in the future. D is a very interesting one. Gonna have to give it a think :)
