The BIG question I've been pondering: How do we transition humanity and all our complicated systems to more complex, emergent systems while needing to maintain aspects of the current system in order to, you know, live?

I think that dealing with such problems, and changing society (in a smooth transition, no less) no matter what, will require enormous investment. The investment you imagine

How might one distinguish true change & sense-makers from those, at worst, which might be unambitious rent-seekers?Indeederoonie. Or even investing in people, but that would certainly require a deeper knowledge of them. I guess figuring out the suitability would be much like how people typically choose what to invest in, only less emphasis on profit & more on drive to succeed & values
