Ofc deciding what content will give kids enough of an understanding of things is something to be contended, but I feel uni & school don't yet meet that criteria of making 'how to apply things' known, let alone space or encouragement to pursue those kinds of creative projects

I think the experimenting bit is so important; how else can you know what you're into? Giving the right tools to explore and figuring out when to start exploiting: that's the core of what I think schools should do.
