What do you think a unifying Grand Narrative should include? Or I guess, if you could create an overarching culture, what might it involve? I think space exploration would be important. A sense of cosmic adventurism. Also a strong sense of unity with all life.
A great empathy with everyone. A wish for less suffering. The collective is everything, and the only use for the individual is to be a unique beauty. An artwork in the making. Also strong environmentalism. Love of green spaces, communal living. A fascination with the future.
A belief in technology for good. Ritualistic altered states of consciousness. General playfulness and silliness. And, idk. Hoverboards?
I would say the use for the individual is to be an individual first that wants to be part of the whole, not must be a part. And this path is made easier, what ever they choose. For example tech optimized to be more of a navigating tool than a distraction.
The collective is just a social status currency for people who haven't even seen the things they claim to care about
