I'm not sure where you got that description of Sensing. That's not the MBTI nor my clearer version of it. That one is kinda backwards. Other than the withdrawing part. And Te isn't a part of the MBTI. That's some weird offshoot of it that as far as I can tell is arbitrary.
I understand what he's saying. A fair bit of psychology doesn't map directly to neuroscience. We have such a grainy understanding of the brain. Psych is more holistic. Myers Briggs as most know is a personality tool that simply tells a story.

Some resonate and find help or value in that story. I did for mine. Please try to keep it civil in my TL :) Id like to keep it a place for thoughtful and open discussions!

Psychology has to map to neuroscience, otherwise... like I asked, what else is there? I mean, if you are someone who believes in supernatural powers affecting nature, and somehow not totally being governed by the laws of nature, then I'm cool with that. Just say so.

And yes, the MBTI is wonderful for categorizing the different personality types. Which is why I like to explain it, since there is a whole lot of confusion around it, that leads to stress and misunderstanding, in my experience.
