Some could definitely. Others only if they had no other option. My dad for example, wanted to kill our family chickens when they stopped laying. No one else could fathom it! So for someone like him, being veggie like me doesn't make any moral sense to him. different framework

Historically speaking it was never the responsibility of ALL to kill animals, there were usually a set that dealt with the preparing/procuring of meat and the other members of the tribal group are for nutritional purposes.
