I read Henry Cloud's "Necessary Endings" when I quit my job to do something else; it was a plainspoken, clarifying book for work & relationships. Too bad he doesn't come up much in the non-secular self improvement idea space (he sometimes gets filed under "Christian self help").

Idkm sounds floof I mean it works It pulls you out into an out of moment experience But it's floof Mind needs pain to decide things We as a whole don't It's enough to separate what we like from what we want When impulses encroach on values we naturally snap back if we catch them

Choosing better options requires there to BE better options. If they are available to us, and we are aware of it, we'll choose it. Brains are good calculating machines. They do whatever is best given their available options.
