people must (and want to) consume in order to do so, people must also produce. people dont always want to produce the same things they consume some people have a greater ability (and/or willingness) to produce things than others

so lets assume a system where different nodes (ppl/groups of similar people) are somewhat specialised in the thing they produce now people can trade a thing they've produced (but dont require) with another node that has something they want to consume

this becomes hard, because things some things are more 'expensive' than others. they take more time, more resources also, the other producers whose product i want to consume, might not want MY product at all this is where we need a way of quantifying or evaluating products

if we can put a value on all the things that are produced, we can use this value token as an intermediary, and trade value bits for things to consume, instead of other produced things yay

Your brain already does this! You look at, smell, taste, feel, and hear things and it automatically prioritizes them based on your needs. Give these values to the world for it to self-organize (allocate resources) effectively.https://twitter.com/thewiseturtle/status/1135951451031629824 …

Turil Cronburg @thewiseturtleA huge part of our future valuation systems, aiming to quantify our personal priorities/needs will have to be unconsciously collected. Some will come from machine learning and virtual assistants who "know" us, but most will hopefully come directly from interfaces with our body. pic.twitter.com/6JC7t0WYDr1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

Yup this is supposedly why demand when left alone works. My idea is that we have competing and conflicting ideas for what's good for us & we need assistance W/ that

What do you think you need help with, when it comes to choosing things for yourself?

nutrition is one. im a sucker for sugar as a comfort when life is stressful scheduling and prioritising is another. im bad at doing things that need to be done if other interesting things catch my mind or the thing is too stressful + purchasing habits. sustainable fashion etc

So, something like a goal buddy would be useful for much of that. A friend, or group, who helps you focus and keeps up some peer pressure for you to think twice about stuff, maybe. Plus, just better access to information about your options for a more informed choice.
