Can we at least have a UBI for people that want to do some good Like idk apply to the Gov, say what you want to work on, and so long as you can prove progress you'll get the $$ to support yourself while you do it Why don't we subsidise doing good things?

The overhead of applying for a grant and following up tends to limit this kind of activity. Not really practical for employing one person for a 40 hour week.
Well we already have welfare programs that have checks, I'm just thinking if we added an extra criteria for eligibility that was, in simplest terms, 'wanting to do good stuff', that'd be helpful

I think the practical result is that people check the box to get the cash and mostly nobody would follow up. How much supervision do you think the recipients would require?
