Fear, inertia, tiredness
I find the recent longing/attempt to return to simplicity interesting, and also humorous Despite our many years on this planet, and with each other, we are still largely incapable of doing the whole human thing well I mean, the answers are out there. What stops (distracts?) us?

What’s also interesting is the rise of new attempts to do human-to-human well, e.g. circling, wespace. Perhaps it’s institutions that get in the way, but they’ve been our best attempt to date at scaling relationships beyond the Dunbar number. Maintaining them distracts bigtime.

True. I was thinking about things like authentic relating when I wrote this. Seems like such a simple and fundamental way of communicating, and yet we must learn it from scratch

I guess it's less simple and more fundamental. I think the simplicity (I mean just look at design trends atm) is one expression of that realisation that everything is too damn chaotic rn
