The phrase "attention deficit" pisses me off, tbh. Who's to say what somebody should be paying attention to? I pay attention to what I think is interesting. I pay LOTS. and LOTS. of attention. To what I think is interesting. If anything, I have attention SURPLUS

It is scarce, and a difficult beast to tame. I don't think you can have a defect or surplus - just different things you may attention to, and different intensities or portions of that intention that are given out
