this is why open source is cool, and improving 3D printers will probably save a lot of lives. (imagine 3D printing pain-killers or vaccines) this is also why we need an internet outside of corporate internet - for communication + a repository of all conceivably useful knowledge
Survivalists would survive. The vast majority of us wouldn't survive, most likely dying by the hands of survivalists before dying of lack of vital resources. I'm not counting weapons or ammo as vital. For the vast majority to survive, we would need an economic paradigm shift.
