Interesting. My grandpa is an alco. But I guess it's confusing to me to understand because I don't find drinking so compelling that I might get addicted in some way. Also didn't know it was such a common problem

It's difficult to pin down really, because regular use of alcohol would negatively affect health and promote anti-social behaviour, but it doesn't mean someone is medically an alcoholic. We could be seeing a rise in people caring for their health more and being proud of it..

Because from what I've seen, medical alcoholism in Australia is at around 1.5% and has levelled out since 2010. In Ireland it's slowly declining, and in the US it's been very slowly rising Sorry for crappy photo lolpic.twitter.com/FUyHrir81R
