Scenario: I go to a conference alone and want someone to chat with whilst I'm there. I could signal that intention on my device, and it would show me some people in the immediate vicinity with the same intention.

I know social relations are not so simple, but surely there is some way we can better facilitate them Extended loneliness & lack of a feeling of belonging sends people off the rails to extreme & dangerous fringes of society.

Social media thrives especially on loneliness. Also, looking for an external solution to "loneliness" would probably be a short term fix at best, no matter the "compatibility of data". My two cents.

Probable. But also business thrives off loneliness. I think we can make (try) new social medias that thrive off of connection instead!

Had twitter and facebook been founded by women, this probably would have already happened. Women just aren't as interested in inorganic algorithms as men are. The world needs more women who can make the connection between inorganic algorithms and organic algorithms.
