oh, no worries ;) i also agree with that & it checks out with my experience fwiw. it’s probs for slightly diff reasons but this is broadly my experience in those situations which I’ve experienced regardless of the economic circumstances of the other person:

Curiosity appears at the higher levels of Maslow's hierarchy of motivations, as needs are met. There's always room for more curiosity (look at baby humans, they are almost always curious!), but when one's environment fails to take good care of one's needs, brains can't function.
