The downfall of this though is that whenever you go back, or are otherwise obligated to spend time in an environment that doesn't support your authentic self, it feels super stifling You don't notice that as a kid if its all you've ever known
Not only stifling but weird, almost 10 years passed since I moved out of my country of origin,the reason for that is that I always felt that it wasn't supporting my authentic self.I feel so disconnected from most of the culture and way of thinking that I am almost a foreigner now
