The downfall of this though is that whenever you go back, or are otherwise obligated to spend time in an environment that doesn't support your authentic self, it feels super stifling You don't notice that as a kid if its all you've ever known
yup as some put it, find your tribe. When you consciously seek them out, you'll realise how many past friendships couldn't provide what you were looking for. Those will eventually fall off. Same goes for to-do list.
