Governments don't create jobs, people do. We need to incentivise entrepreneurship (which today means tech), which we're currently failing at quite spectacularly at. #auspol
True but I also heard recently that governments do create a huge portion of the jobs that exist. I don't remember the stats or where they're from lol. But it makes sense. Huge infrastructure projects have billions of $$ poured into them and need a lot of peeps to co-ordinate

Yeah that's a great point, and we could really do with a few of those. Nuclear plants, high-speed railways on the east coast.

I was thinking about this -- I'd still argue that govs don't create jobs, even in the case of infrastructure. Govs provide the funding and land for these projects, but money flows to companies who supply the factors of production.
