Hobbies are crazy valuable. They teach discipline & the benefits of sticking to a single task long enough to see improvement and mastery. It's easy to let them slide in favour of device-related distraction.

Many hobbies are specifically on ‘devices’ (digital art, video games, reviews, YouTube, etc). We should allocate time to ourselves to do what we enjoy. Kids don’t need time allocated for them by adults - kids are already MUCH better than us at doing what they enjoy.

The thing is that these really aren't hobbies. These are our life's passions. Anything that isn't that, is the problem. Jobs and school are interfering with real life. And they need to be eliminated, or at least made very differently, so as to actually support our passions.

School is part of real life. Be specific. Some school jobs are critical. If you eliminate those jobs, you'll be adding jobs to our prison system.
