Maybe too soon to judge. Perhaps the brain is evolving to handle multiple large inputs of data from multiple sources in preparation for quasi permanent ( then permanent) linkage to advncd machines in symbiosis. Switching evolut mechanism from genes to memes.

Trippy but likely. Evolution has accelerated as has intelligent design and selective reproduction based on cultural memeplexes. Nothing on horizon suggests this will change.
