What is a god (loosely)? - source of moral authority (that's humans) - power over nature (current mass extinction - caused by us) We are kind of deities right now. This must be kept in mind because the magnitude and reach of our fuck-ups could be devastating.

Then again I think that from the sheer fact that they were so powerful, they were more able to mold they happenings of the world according to their own agenda. Like Greek gods or sommit?

So like if there was a society of sentient mammoths, beings large enough to casually uproot trees & shape their env. and to have no natural predators as adults, would they be their own gods?
