UBI pls If nothing else, it's a buffer against starvation (& resulting suffering + violence) It'll buy us time and keep people comfortable enough to rebuild before probable social collapse

As much as money is the dinosaur of memes, and as much as I've rejected it before, I managed to get a minimal (obviously not unconditional) basic income, and I'm temporarily using it as I work for a thriving, collaborative, and free future for all Earthlings. @speakerjohnash

"Comfortable" can be interpreted in healthy and sick ways. "Minimally healthy" is a better term. Basic physical needs are at the very bottom of human needs, before we start focusing on taking care of others' needs on a planetary scale: Eating comes before creating solutions.

I'm talking about Maslow's hierarchy of needs, where the bottom physiological needs have to be met before we can functionally focus on collaborative, creative problem solving (prefrontal cortex). Eating is simple. Global policy making isn't.

Not to assume. That would be a waste of time. But all humans have their basic needs, and nearly all humans are involved in making big decisions that affect others, often large sections of the planet, beyond humanity, even. And society regularly denies us our basic needs.

It's not an expression of collective wisdom. It's a symptom of sick, viral memes. Human society is currently self-harming. It's collective mental illness. But the immune system is starting to kick into high gear. Soon we're going to start aiming to take care of ourselves.

Yes, when our immune system directly attacks harmful patterns, they fight back. Which is why a really great immune system absorbs harmful patterns, directing them to some niche role that they can serve usefully in the system, adding a valuable resource, rather than wasting it.

We just have to evolve a better immune system! It' slow, but it's how we got this far. From mitochondria to the brain, "foreign bodies" that were threats became resources, and found beneficial positions in the system. Evolution (entropy) is a process of increasing collaboration.
