I'm sorry my generation sold you that "vision" of your future. It's not the future that is actually happening. It's a story to make you easy to manipulate. Yes, things have been fucked up. But the future is always different from the past, in really unexpected ways.
The future will only be different if we make it so! And imo, changes to steer us away from critical resource scarcity are definitely achievable, so long as we prioritise them
