Our relationship with domestic animals is weird... Right? Do any wild animals have a similar relationship to other species?

i feel as if this is different. sure there are some species whose very survival depends on another species existing in close proximity, but the two don't necessarily have a relationship with each other apart from that biological one
are they aware of the other organism? do they communicate or have empathy? these aspects seem important and differentiating to me, but maybe thats my human biases

I assume there’s no specific answer. I was just curious to pull the conversation back further into a perspective that is past human. You mentioned human bias and I smiled when you did. You mention awareness. Maybe things just feel right for some creatures? Is that awareness?
