Ask some people close to you to honestly describe you in 5 words. This is a great reminder of the bias and tunnel vision your brain has regarding your own self image. It's super skewed towards your shortcomings, and has little understanding of all the goodness you exude.

For a while I've been planning to build a simple tool for doing that anonymously. A google form can do the trick too, but a dedicated tool would spread better.

I wish I had humans who were close to me to do this. My husband (currently not able to be in my life) wrote a letter to me that did this once. It is one of my favorite things anyone's ever done for me. He helped me see my determination for important things was inspiring.

There's certainly something special about letters that can't be conveyed through any other medium
