So I'm taking psychology units at university & I have a pressing question: At face value, the study of human minds & behaviour sounds like one of the most interesting & enigmatic topics you could explore. So how on earth are you able to make it so god damn boring?

Facts. Taken many courses surrounding psychology, neuroscience, developmental biology, it's very hard to teach facts in a timely manner while fostering curiosity. Ideally, you'd have a back and forth of "what do you think about X" and then talk about how they figured it out.

Now that I do neuroscience research, my entire day is taken up by being curious, generating a hypothesis, creating an experimental approach, testing hypothesis. The lack of curiosity is what makes life boring.

Saw someone say recently that kids deserve passionate & curious teachers.
I also think people owe it to themselves to be passionate and curious!
I actually took psych because I'm interested in neuro and it had more courses than going the bio route.
Hope you have fun with it
