what is the purpose of life? Is life a coincidence, or was it pre-meditated? We simply don't know, and so we assume objective meaning doesn't exist. Let's assume we're right. Still, the word meaning exists. People have meaning in their lives. You can't say their meaning...

doesn't exist because it directly influences their life choices and therefore has an impact on the happenings of the universe. Well then, meaning is just a human construct, right? Yes! But not 'just'. Meaning is a wonderful and useful concept that probably wouldn't exist...

Not a human construct. A feature of the universe. When stuff does a certain thing it feels like the sensation of meaning.
